After first letting the option deadline for a contract extension pass, the Frankfurt Lions have reached an agreement on a new deal through the end of the 2010-2011 season with general manager Dwayne Norris. As a player, the Newfoundland native appeared in 616 DEL games. As a manager, he has been at the job in Frankfurt since 2006-07.

The Deggendorf Fire have add two imports to the mix in a bid to reach the play-offs. New to the team are Jamie Dowhayko and Matt Armstrong. Dowhayko actually played for the Fire in the 2007-08 season but has been in the Finnish Mestis league with Kiekko Vantaa since then.
